Curriculum

At Richard Hale School, our curriculum aims to:

  • provide a broad, ambitious and creative curriculum, enriched by a wide range of related experiences, to encourage the development of the unique talents of each individual student to the highest level
  • develop students’ self-esteem and confidence, leadership, teamwork and creative skills, by providing opportunities for them to represent their House and School and contribute to the wider community in a wide range of extra-curricular activities

Ofsted recognised our curriculum as being well planned. They stated that it “follows a logical sequence so that pupils build on what they have learned before.” We want to ensure students build on prior learning while being challenged. It is also important that it supports students’ learning and development, and Ofsted stated that, across subjects, “pupils are well prepared for current and future study”.
