Careers Curriculum

All students in Year 7-11 take part in a fortnightly careers related learning session. These sessions are designed around specific learning objectives which support not only the practical decisions they will need to make in life, but also the skills and attributes they will need to continue growing throughout life.

Our curriculum is structured around the Career Development Institute’s (CDI) framework. The 6 areas of learning are designed to be relevant to both young people and adults, whatever stage they are at in their career. The distinction is also made in our programme that the term ‘career’ refers just as much to their life as a whole as it does to specific jobs and roles. With this in mind the CDI framework encourages students to see their development as a continual journey, rather than just a means to the next step.
