The House Reading Competition Adventure
Over the recent half term, we set our students an exciting challenge—one that took their books far beyond the walls of the classroom and into the great unknown. Our House Reading Competition encouraged students to take their books on an adventure, capturing a photo of themselves reading in the most exciting, unusual, or adventurous place they could think of.
The competition was designed to inspire creativity and a love for reading, all while pushing the boundaries of where and when we read. Whether it was perched high up on a mountain, tucked in a cozy corner of the local library, or even submerged in a pool of books, students got incredibly creative with their entries.
We were thrilled to see such a diverse range of submissions, each one more imaginative than the last. Some students took us on adventures to the great outdoors, while others ventured to unique local spots, and some even created their own dreamlike, imaginative settings for reading. It was clear that the competition sparked a passion for not only reading but also exploring new places.
After much deliberation, we’re excited to announce the winners who truly went above and beyond in capturing the spirit of the challenge:
1st Place: Ollie D – Kinman
2nd Place: Elliot R– Page
3rd Place: Dylan A– Page
Congratulations to our winners for their incredible photos and dedication to taking their books on an unforgettable adventure!
Thank you to everyone who participated. You’ve all shown just how creative and adventurous you can be when it comes to reading.
