On the 29th of January, Year 6 from Morgan’s Primary School took a trip to RHS to hear us, A-Level Music students, perform a concert for them. There was a large range of instruments, from French horn to bass guitar to piano, as well as a wide variety of genres, spanning centuries of music from the Classical era to now. The Year 6 students were given a sheet to draw what the music reminded them of, as well as a quiz.

At the end of our performances, we had a Question and Answer session, where we were asked very interesting questions, such as “How long have you been a professional musician?” and “What is your favourite piece to play?”. The Year 6s were very enthusiastic and respectful, applauding after each performance. They also voted on their favourite instrument and player at the end. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for both us and the audience!
