We recently wrapped up an exciting and competitive House Chess Tournament for Year 7 and Year 8 students, where minds clashed and strategies unfolded on the chessboard. The event was filled with suspense, impressive moves, and intense concentration as players from across different houses competed for the prestigious top spots in both the Champion and Runner-up leagues.

Year 7 Results:

In the Champion League for Year 7, it was Kazim from Kinman who emerged victorious, securing 1st place with an outstanding performance. He was closely followed by Noah from Croft in 2nd place and Noah from Wallace who claimed 3rd.

Champion League Year 7 Results:

1st: Kazim A (KI)
2nd: Noah B (CR)
3rd: Noah C (WA)

In the Runner-up League for Year 7, Raif from Cowper made an impressive showing, taking the top spot. Riley from Page followed closely in 2nd place, while Oliver from Kinman rounded out the top 3.

3rd: Oliver B (KI)

Year 8 Results:

The Year 8 competition saw some fierce competition in the Champion League. Lucas from Page triumphed as the Champion, showcasing his chess prowess. Utku from Croft secured the 2nd place, and Dylan Adam from KI took 3rd.

2nd: Utku A (CR)
3rd: Dylan A (KI)

In the Runner-up League for Year 8, Joseph from Croft was the standout performer, clinching 1st place. Seyf from Kinman earned 2nd place, and Adam from Kinman claimed 3rd.
