Artificial Intelligence at Richard Hale School

At Richard Hale School, we are committed to preparing our students for a rapidly changing world—one where artificial intelligence (AI) will play an increasingly important role in education, the workplace and daily life. This section of our website is part of our whole-school initiative to explore the opportunities AI brings while using it in a responsible, ethical, and purposeful way.

We do not see AI as a replacement for high-quality teaching and learning. Instead, we believe it can be a powerful tool to enhance creativity, promote independent thinking, aid revision and improve outcomes for students. Our approach is grounded in values of academic integrity, curiosity, responsibility, and wellbeing.

Through student assemblies, staff training, and clear policies, we have taken significant steps to ensure all members of the Richard Hale community are supported in understanding and using AI tools safely and effectively.

This area of our website is designed to support you with:

·         Parent & Carer Guidance : Explore how AI is being used in education, the potential benefits and risks, and how you can support your child in using AI safely and responsibly at home.

·         Our AI Policy: Our school’s Generative AI Policy outlines how AI can be used to enhance learning while maintaining clear expectations for ethical use, especially in coursework and assessment.

At Richard Hale, our message to students is clear, AI is a support tool—not a shortcut. We want students to develop the confidence to use AI critically and ethically, as a tool for their learning, not a replacement for it.

By working in partnership with families and staying at the forefront of educational developments, we aim to shape a future in which AI enhances learning and upholds the Richard Hale School values that we all share.
